Individual Therapy

As a therapist, I believe in the power of human connection and the ability of individuals to heal and grow. I use an integrative approach to therapy, combining elements of cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy to help clients gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I strongly believe in facilitating a positive and nurturing environment to empower clients to add tools to their emotional toolbox. My goal is to provide a safe, genuine, and empathic environment, collaborating with the client to facilitate meaningful positive change.

Couples Therapy

In my work with couples, I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative environment where partners can feel safe to explore their relationship concerns. Some questions you may have are:

  • What are some strategies we can use to communicate more effectively?

  • How can we navigate differences in our values, beliefs, and goals?

  • What are some ways we can increase our intimacy and connection?

  • How can we heal past hurts and move forward?

With advanced training in the Gottman method, I focus on helping the couple build a strong foundation of friendship, manage conflicts, and create shared meaning. I also utilize EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy). EFT is effective because it helps couples to identify and understand their underlying emotional patterns and needs. Couples often get caught in repetitive negative cycles where they feel stuck and unable to break free.

ASL Therapy

I also work with Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. I understand the challenges in finding a sensitive therapist with fluency in American Sign Language and knowledge of Deaf culture. I have a lifetime of experiences interacting within the Deaf community. I am skilled in providing culturally sensitive and linguistically affirmative services to Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing individuals through the use of American Sign Language, Signed English, and spoken English. I understand the unique needs, strengths, values, and culture of Deaf individuals. My goal is to make therapy accessible to your communication and language needs.
